Arden Henley, Ed.D

Arden Henley is a past Vice President of City University of Seattle in Vancouver, and Principal of Canadian Programs. Arden has a BA from McMaster, an MA from Duquesne in Pittsburgh and a Doctorate in Education Leadership from SFU.

Well known for his innovative leadership style and thought-provoking presentations, Arden has practiced Organizational Development and Family Therapy for over 35 years and consulted broadly with community and government agencies. His recently published book entitled “Social Architecture: Notes & Essays” summarizes his experience as both a Therapist and Organization Development Consultant.

Mary Kean, M.A.

Mary Kean recently retired from practicing couple and family counseling in Vancouver. Mary was also on the faculty of City University of Seattle in Vancouver, Canada since the beginning of the Masters of Counseling Program which she assisted in founding. She has taught in public schools, universities and colleges and other venues.

A Committee Chairman and member of the AMSSA Board of Directors, Mary also served on the Boards of Peak House and the Vancouver Electric Vehicle Association (VEVA) as Vice President.

Scott Lawrance, Ed.D.

Scott and his Salish Sea Eco-retreats partner, Tara Souch offer annual eco-retreats for wilderness guides and interested professionals. He is the author of four books of poetry and has, in the past, edited two poetry magazines, “Raven” and “Circular Causation”.Scott has taught at all levels of public education from grade two to post-Secondary.

Coro Strandberg

Coro Strandberg is a recognized national leader in corporate social responsibility and social purpose. For thirty years she has advised business, governments and industry associations on strategies to achieve social and environmental outcomes in the marketplace. She specializes in social purpose, the circular economy and sustainable governance, human resource management, risk management and supply chain management.

With 20 years of experience as a corporate director, Coro educates corporate directors and governance professionals on sustainable governance for the Director’s College and Governance Professionals of Canada respectively. In 2015 she was named one of Canada’s Clean50 as the top CSR consultant in Canada for her impact. She publishes her thought leadership on her website at www.corostrandberg.com.

Colin James Sanders, Ph.D.

Colin lives with his partner Gail and their creature companions on British Columbia’s Sunshine Coast where he reads, writes, paints, and chops firewood. Colin has published academic book chapters and papers, and reviews relating to poetry and poetics; Colin has also presented his work in cities and towns across Canada, Nunavut, the Yukon, San Francisco and Havana, Cuba.

Colin, now a retired professor and psychotherapist, holds onto the belief that the earth is worth saving for others, including four grandsons, who gather oysters and mushrooms, sail, kayak, and paddleboard in the Salish Sea.

Rod Prouse

Rod Prouse, a graduate of the Ontario College of Art, 1968, exhibits mainly in painting, printmaking, photo-based and video art. His professional career has so far seen 40 solo exhibitions, and as many group exhibitions across Canada, and in the U.S.A., England and Germany. Solo exhibitions have included such public institutions as the McMichael, Koffler, MacLaren, Agnes Jaimeson, Open Studio, Quest..

Over the years, he has received numerous teaching and project grants, as well as awards of recognition for photography and design. In 2017 he received the ‘Excellence in Culture Award’ from the town of Midland and in 2018 an OAC ‘Established Artist ‘ creative grant. His work is included in private collections in Europe, Asia and North America.

His current paintings reference Canadian landscape in a refreshing contemporary style. Rod lives beside Georgian Bay inspired by its wind, rocks and water.
