GTEC is a non-profit organization with a volunteer Board of Directors incorporated in the province of British Columbia in 2017. GTEC is a also registered charity with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
Through a range of initiatives and programs GTEC informs, activates and supports communities in responding to the climate crisis.
GTEC receives funding from foundations, corporations and individual philanthropists.
GTEC is best known for its development of the GTEC Community-based, Collaborative Model, as well as Canada’s first Climate Response Centre to be located on Vancouver’s Granville Island. GTEC’s approach embodies a unique blend of education and community development in responding to the climate crisis.
