GTEC is happy to share initiatives from our community partners. The following is an event with Arbutus Neighbourhood House.
Join us on Earth Day for a native plant walk among community
Join Arbutus Neighbourhood House and the Vancouver Healing Forest initiative this Earth Day for a meaningful afternoon of connection, learning, and spending time with nature.
When: Wednesday April 22 from 3:30-5:30 pm
Where: Prince of Wales Park (exact meeting spot to be shared with registrants)
We’ll be gathering in the park and on the school grounds for an educational walk guided by LoriAnn Bird, an Indigenous Métis herbalist, educator, and author of Revered Roots.
The afternoon will include a gentle walk, opportunities to meet neighbours, and learning about native plants and their many purposes. Together, we’ll explore how we can reweave connections with the land, native plants, and each other, and consider how we can all play a role as environmental stewards living in community with all living things.
This event is free, but space is limited – register now to save your spot and join us on Earth Day!
