National Seniors Day October 1, 2024 - GTEC Green Technology Education Centre

Later is Too Late!

The Seniors for Climate project have organized a Canada-wide day of climate action planned for Canada’s National Seniors Day, October 1, 2024.

Nearly 70 locations across Canada have already signed up for Seniors Day of Climate Action. It’s not too late to sign up to support an action, or to start your own. Planned actions can be found on this national map, which was created and is updated by Seniors for Climate. Click on an event on the map to see more information about the location, the planned action and the contact information for the organizing group.

Seniors across Canada will come together on October 1 to call for faster and better climate action. They play a major role in climate action because they are motivated, committed and they vote! Later is Too Late!

GTEC is involved in organizing of the “Climate Crawl through Arts, Culture & Action” taking place at Performance Works, Granville Island from 1pm – 7pm. This event is sponsored by Suzuki Elders and Society Promoting Environmental Conservation (SPEC).

Climate Crawl through Arts, Culture & Action will be an immersive experience, exploring how the Arts can contribute to climate action. There will be short film documentaries, line dancing, eco-creative workshops, and a letter-writing campaign to our leaders. Also, take part in insightful conversations at the Climate Café and see how you can make a difference!
